Pixel 6 Pro May Have An Unexpected Feature

Read Time:2 Minute, 5 Second

The Google Pixel 6 Pro is a packaged flagship product, but the only biometric safety feature used is the fingerprint scanner. This has surprised that several marketing documents that have been published before the phone started talked about the “Face Unlocking” feature. And even if there were several reports in the past about Google mainly worked to bring this feature to the Pixel 6 Pro, nothing seems to have occurred on this forehead, even six months in the launch of the phone.

References to text strings that point to the likelihood that the Pixel 6 Pro finally suppose the unlocking of the face has already been found in the Android beta code 12L. However, for any reason, Google has not published an update that allows this functionality of this model. Yet, just when we thought the company had abandoned this feature, we have a new report that seems to indicate that the security feature of facial recognition can always reach a given time for the Pixel 6 Pro.

Unlike previous occasions where references to this feature should be found beyond the operating system code, a Pixel 6 Pro user recently encountered the unlocking option of the face when it is created by its new Pixel 6 Pro .

Initially, let’s say that the user – who posted his interesting conclusions via a post – confirming file confirms the unlocking function of the face is not yet active on the phone and you can not activate it in the Settings menu . Instead, the feature reference appears when the phone prompts users to choose a locking method of the backup screen. Especially interesting is that the user has never been prompted to configure the unlocking the face during the entire installation process. It was also strange that this option appeared on a device that executed a stable version of Android.

In an attempt to access the root of this problem, people from 9To5Google have searched through the Android code 12 and have been able to confirm that this particular option on the configuration page is present on the Pixel 6 Pro since The earlier version 12 beta, but has been kept hidden. However, it remains unclear why the option has been triggered during this particular instance. It remains to be seen if the pixel 6 PRO possibly obtain this feature much sought after in one of its future software updates. Unfortunately, it does not seem that the normal pixel 6 will obtain the same functionality, assuming it moves at a given moment.
