What To Expect From OnePlus’ April 28 Launch Event

With the international launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro under its belt, onePlus seems to focus its attention on the rest of its range of 2022. The first indication of it came earlier today, when the OnePlus India Twitter Manipulment Sent a tweet teased a major launch event scheduled for April 28, 2022. The Tweet specifically mentions that the company intends to launch “a range of devices” during the event. The image that accompanies the tweet includes the silhouettes of three new devices; Two smartphones and a new pair of TWS headphones. The same image also appeared on a dedicated landing page on Amazon India.

While OnePlus has not yet confirmed this, the indications are that the two smartphones indicated in the silhouette are the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Nord this 2 lite. The third product is probably the first North brand TWS – simply called The OnePlus North TWS. We have heard of the OnePlus 10R and from the North CE 2 for a while and I told them in separate items. But for those who have not heard of these cameras yet, here is a quick refresh.

OnePlus has introduced this new R Series of affordable flagship devices in 2021 with the first generation product called OnePlus 9R. It was essentially a reduced variant of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro Smartphones above. The OnePlus 9R has done quite well in the selected markets. It seems that OnePlus wants to replicate the same thing with the successor of this year – the OnePlus 10R. As noted earlier, there is a good chance that the OnePlus10R is a realmed version of the Realme GT Neo 3, which has only been announced recently in China.

The expectations are that the OnePlus 10R will use the brand new MEDEK 8100 SOC dimension and will have the same panel E4, 120 Hz AMOLED that we have seen on the Realme GT Neo 3. We also expect the OnePlus to 10R is offered with up to 12 GB. RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. As for the configuration of the camera, the indications are that the device will use a 50MP primary camera, a 8 MP ultra-uterine angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. There is also talk of the phone with support for the fast charge of 120W. What remains to be seen is that OnePlus plans to propose two variants of the device as with the case of Realme GT Neo 3, which presents in two distinct variants – a smaller battery (4,500 mAh) which takes in Charge 120W quickly load, and the other with a larger battery (5000 mAh), but with a relatively slower fast load (80W).

Also clearly obvious of the name, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite should be a tonic version of North CE 2 recently launched when adding some updates. We also reported the probability that this phone is actually a 9 Pro 9 Pro rebrande. The expected hardware specifications of the OnePlus Nord This 2 Lite include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 with 6GB and 8GB RAM options, an IPS LCD panel of 6.58 inches, 120Hz, and a 64 MP primary camera. The other two cameras are likely to be 2MP sensors for depth detection and macro shots. For the selfies, the North OnePlus CE 2 Lite is likely to offer a camera at the front of 16 MP. Previous leaks indicated that the device will use a battery of 5,000 mAh with 33W support support. The indications are that the North CE 2 Lite will also not miss the ONEPLUS brand alert cursor.

With regard to North OnePlus brand TWS headphones, we know very little about this device, with the exception of a 3D rendering created by @Onleaks. The initial indications are these will have 41 internal MAH batteries with additional 480 mAh batteries inside the transport box provided. With the launch of these devices a little over two weeks, we hope that additional details emerge in the days to follow
