Pixel 6 Pro May Have An Unexpected Feature

Read Time:2 Minute, 2 Second

Google Pixel 6 Pro is a featured packaged feature, but the only biometric security feature that is delivered is a fingerprint scanner. It’s surprising for many people because some marketing documents are leaked before the phone is launched talking about the sports model “Face Unlock”, too. And even though there have been several reports in the past about Google they should work to bring this feature to the Pixel 6 Pro, it seems like nothing happens on the front even six months into the telephone launch.

References to the text string pointing to the possibility of Pixel 6 Pro ultimately support the previous facial unlock has been found in the Android 12L code beta. However, for some reason, Google has not released an update that allows this feature to this model. However, right when we think the company has given up on this feature, we have a new report that seems to show the security features of facial recognition may still arrive at some point for the Pixel 6 Pro.

Unlike on previous occasions where references to this feature must be found deep in the operating system code, Pixel 6 Pro users recently found options opening the face when he was preparing the new Pixel 6 Pro purchased.

At first, let’s state that the user – which posted the findings pulled it through Reddit Post – confirming the facial unlock feature is not active on the phone, and you cannot activate it in the settings menu. Instead, the reference to the feature appears when the cellphone asks the user to select the backup screen locking method. What is very interesting is that users have never been asked to set Face Unlock during the entire setting process. It is also strange that this option appears on the device that runs a stable Android version.

In an effort to get to the root of this problem, people in 9to5Google explore the Android 12 code and can confirm that this special option on the setting page has been on the Pixel 6 Pro since the Android 12 Beta version is initial, but remains hidden. However, it remains unclear why the option is triggered during this particular instance. It still has to be seen if the Pixel 6 Pro will eventually get a lot of searches this in one of its future software updates. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like an ordinary 6 pixel will get the same feature, assuming it launches at some point.
