Pixel 6a Benchmark Raises Hopes For Google’s Mid-Range Flagship

Read Time:2 Minute, 30 Second

Pixel 6 is one of the most famous Google smartphones since the original pixel in 2016, maybe the most popular. The combination of the unique design model and high-end specifications have made it a decent competitor, but the new custom tensor processor makes it more attractive to Android fans. Given the relative success so far, Google is expected to be able to continue the strategy, at least before the pixel 7 hits the shelf.

Pixel fans hope that Google will create a pixel 6A copy of pixels 6, with only a few compromises to keep the label low price. In fact, rumors so far said that, with pixels 6A follow the appearance of a more expensive model and even package the same processor. However, surprisingly, to see how big both will be similar, especially when it comes to performance, at least based on this single benchmark.

According to rumors, pixels 6A will look exactly like pixels 6 as far as the basic design runs. That means it will (possibly) has the same horizontal camera lump near the top which has been compared to the visor. Whether it will share the same dual-tone color scheme has not been seen, but the chances are high. Apart from that, it is undoubtedly a unique sport that is unique to the Pixel 6 series, and the owners of Pixel 6A will not feel not in place in this department.

As expected, pixel 6a is also expected to bear the GS101 “Whitechapel” chip designed and inserted into pixels 6. It has a Google Tensor marketing name and is made specifically to provide the AI process. This is the same hardware that is credited for Android AI meat on pixels 6, so it’s just natural that people want to get the same features on the middle class version. It turns out they might get it and more.

According to the geekbench comparison, the CPU performance of the 6A pixels is so little beyond pixels 6 with a very small margin. Even considering the margin of errors, this practically means pixels 6A will be equivalent to their more expensive siblings as far as raw processing power. The list shows pixels 6a will only have 6GB of RAM, which makes the score even more impressive.

Of course, the reader will want to take this list with a grain of salt, despite the name “Bluejay” Pixel 6A has been confirmed in other unofficial sources. This phone is also expected to come up with the FHD + 6.2 inch screen, even though the speed of refresh has not been validated by other leaks.

Pixel 6A can be announced at the Google I / O 2022 event that will come in May, so we expect more sightings of features and benchmarks to come forward from the annual event. Suffice it to say, it will make pixel fans on the edge of their seats, especially after some runs a bit disappointing and confusing from the “A” pixel series for the past two years.
